Girona, Spain 2014

In this contemporary house that honours its past, a simple and austere design uses light to establish a warm, intimate atmosphere. From its various levels, the large interior space draws the attention towards the garden.

The lighting design is linked to the vertical slats that support the interior layout. The interplay of light enlivens the spaces between the heights. Recessed floor lighting on the longitudinal axis creates indirect light that emphasizes the open space.

The subtle composition of luminous hues resulting from the light reflected off the architectural materials creates a unique atmosphere for each space.
