Marina Port VellBarcelona, Spain 2015
The lighting design approach is to genertae mood lighting that orders light levels and allows for a nocturnal function in each area of the Port. The transition between the city and the port is proposed as a light typology that unifies and defines this relationship in different facets.
The urban landscape approach with clear references and a high visual connectivity with the city gives us the guidelines for an orderly layout. The light system is integrated and hidden in areas of articulation between dimensions. This generates the sensation of light on the surfaces, making use of this space and the change in material and its visual transparency, to obtain a deep feeling of space and continuity. The goal is to achieve a sensation of being inside the port.
