our works

artec3 carries out projects through 3 departments: lighting design, lab and lights. We have arranged our works in the following categories to guide you on a transversal tour through the most relevant projects of artec3.

lighting design

artec3 lighting design is dedicated to developing high-quality architectural lighting projects through close, proactive relationships with the design teams and clients. Shaping light, we create innovative lighting designs that enhance the architecture and its contents, while achieving the program and sustainable goals. Take a look to our most relevant projects.

lights

Our lights emerge from the experience developed in our lighting designs projects and the study of the function and emotion of the light interacting with space and people. artec3 Studio, by merging research, technology and taking care of details, has developed new concepts of light. Our designs are produced by recognized manufacturers and have been internationally awarded. Enjoy a selection of our luminaires designs and bespoke lights.

iRoll 65

Junction design creates a new light fixture

When developing the Lighting Design for the Zaragoza Water Park, we aimed to create a light column that would solve the lighting levels of the project while being perceived as one single element. We wanted to avoid the three-element concept (pole + arm + light), and achieve the communication of a sole element.

The design of the junction element between two cylindrical bodies (pole and luminaire) emerged, with the premise of ensuring that its design would give value to the ensemble as a singular element. The joint was based on the concept of stability of the triangle (being stable on any of its sides), while also indicating direction and hierarchy between two elements. The final proportions arose from creating an X when adding the luminaire.

The iroll 65 system can be applied to poles in order to become a coordinated feature for urban furniture and public spaces. Thanks to its asymmetrical optics, it produces a light distribution that is particularly suitable for pedestrian walkways and cycle lanes.
